No cut-price deals, warns Megson

BoltonBolton manager Gary Megson is sticking to his strict policy of not allowing defender Abdoulaye Meite leave the Reebok on the cheap.

The pair had a public fall-out last season and Premier League new-boys Hull and West Brom have been credited with an interest in the giant Ivory Coast centre-back.

However, Megson, who could play the 27-year-old in upcoming pre-season friendlies against Rochdale and Macclesfield, has reiterated there will be no cut-price deals for the former Marseille man.

"Abdoulaye is a member of our first team squad," Megson told the Manchester Evening News.

"We have not received a serious bid for him and until such time as we do then he won't be going anywhere."
