Bolton could be without Darren Pratley for up to six weeks after the midfielder picked up a thigh injury against Tottenham.

Pratley had to leave the field during Tuesday night's 3-1 FA Cup quarter-final defeat at White Hart Lane with the injury and Owen Coyle is now waiting to find out the full extent of the damage.

The midfielder has been a regular in recent weeks and has chipped in with a couple of crucial goals so Coyle will be hoping he is back sooner rather than later.

"The worst case scenario is that it could be four to six weeks," Coyle confirmed after the game.

It is though the best case scenario will be a return within 10 days but either way the midfielder is sure to miss this weekend's massive game away at Wolves.

Pratley's absence leaves Coyle with a dilemma in central midfield as he is now short of options for the defensive role after also losing Fabrice Muamba.
