Bolton are reported to have made an improved bid of £750,000 for West Brom defender Paul Robinson.

Wanderers boss Gary Megson has already failed with one offer of £500,000 for the 30-year-old left back but hopes that his new improved bid will secure a deal.

The Baggies are holding out for £1million but it is thought they are willing to compromise and the news bid should be enough to see Robinson move to the Reebok Stadium.

Megson is also still in the hunt for Albion midfielder James Morrison after he failed with a £3million move back in January.
