Steve Evans has confirmed his delight having reached agreement over the extension of Asa Hall's loan deal for a further month.

The 19-year-old Birmingham City defender was due to return to the Premiership strugglers after this weekend's game against Northampton Town but Evans has persuaded him to stay at York Street.

"Asa is a young lad with a huge amount of talent, who's enjoying his time with us while he continues learning," the United boss told the club's official website.

"He has spoken highly to the management team at Birmingham City of the way he has been treated and of the coaching that he believes is making him a better all-round player.

"He was delighted when I asked him if he would stay with us for a further period and I thank Steve Bruce for sanctioning the request."

Hall has made eight appearances for Boston since joining the club almost two months ago.
