Brentford manager Uwe Rosler stressed the need for his side to improve, despite seeing them run out 5-2 winners over derby rivals Wycombe.

A Gary Alexander hat-trick and goals from Sam Saunders and Toumani Diagouraga helped the hosts to an emphatic win over the npower League One strugglers, with Dave Winfield and Ben Strevens replying for the visitors.

But Rosler said: "It was good to get five goals, but we have to keep our feet on the ground as there were still some areas where we need to improve massively to stay in that top 10.

"We had a good think about how we play and changed things slightly which caught Wycombe by surprise."

Rosler also paid tribute to striker Clayton Donaldson, who was involved in many of the goals: "He does a lot of work that people might not realise and is always available.

"His partnership with Gary is a big part of why Gary is scoring right now. I was delighted with our shots ratio, but there were times when we gave Wycombe unnecessary opportunities to shoot, though we can work on that."
