Defender eyes Forest switch

BrightonJoel Lynch says he hopes to earn a permanent move to Nottingham Forest after joining on loan from Brighton.

The 20-year-old only completed his move on Thursday and after training with his new team-mates on Friday, is hoping to impress Colin Calderwood enough to earn a permanent switch.

"The loan is for a month but I'm keen to show what I can do," Lynch told Forest's official website. "I feel confident in my own ability to play at Championship level and I'll be hoping to impress the manager (Colin Calderwood) as soon as possible.

"It's no secret that I am looking to move on from Brighton and to get this chance with such a big club as Forest is ideal for me. It's an opportunity to show what I can do and I want to make the most of it.

"I feel as though I am ready to make a fresh start in my career and intend to do everything possible to give myself a chance of doing that with Forest."
