Paul Hartley looks set to join English Championship club Bristol City after ending his two-year spell with Celtic.

The 32-year-old moved to Celtic Park in 2007 and made 56 appearances for the Bhoys, scoring three goals.

The Scotland international midfielder has played for a number of clubs during a 15-year professional career, with spells at Hamilton Academical, Millwall, Raith Rovers, Hibernian, St. Johnstone and Hearts.

The tough-tackling schemer is set to undergo a medical at Ashton Gate on Friday and is expected to complete the move before the weekend.

Greek side Iraklis Saloniki had also offered him a deal but the Hamilton-born veteran has opted to move south of the border to continue his career.
