Johnson eyes instant response

Bristol CBristol City boss Gary Johnson has vowed to work overtime to improve the side's deficiencies in time for the Doncaster game.

The Robins chief was disappointed with his players' cutting edge in the Birmingham defeat in midweek and has vowed to address the issue as a matter of priority.

He told the Evening Post: "There were some things I was very pleased with and others I wasn't so pleased about. I can promise our supporters we'll be working very hard on those things I wasn't pleased with.

"We'll work morning, noon and night to get it right and I've told the lads I'm going to run them into the ground to improve their movement in the 18-yard box.

"We've talked about the last game and, hopefully, we've learned from it. Now we have to try and put right those things that were wrong in time for the Doncaster game."
