Manager Gary Johnson has a chest infection and is unlikely to accompany his Bristol City squad for the Boxing Day trip to QPR.
The Robins boss has missed training all week due to illness and it does not like he will be able to travel to Loftus Road on Saturday. Assistant boss Keith Millen will almost certainly lead the Robins throughout the festive fixtures.
"He (Johnson) is not well," he told the Bristol Evening Post. "Hopefully he will travel to London with us."
Meanwhile Millen is hoping the City players can start well and frustrate the Rangers fans enough to get on their players' backs on Saturday.
"We know they've got a lot of good players there," he told bcfc.co.uk
"A lot of talented individuals who on their day can be match-winners, so we've got to deal with them. But we want to go there and be more of a threat ourselves going forward.
"They've got a decent record at home, they've had a few draws this year. I think they're a crowd that will get on their backs if they're not doing well at the beginning, so I think it'll be important that we start well.
"It's a tough place to go, it'll be a decent crowd, and it's quite close to the pitch and it's right on you as an atmosphere. We've got to look forward to going there and try to win the game."
