Bristol City winger Martyn Woolford has moved to npower Championship rivals Millwall for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old former Scunthorpe and York man links up with Kenny Jackett's side on a two-and-a-half year contract having already successfully passed a medical at the New Den.

It brings to an end a two-year spell with City, in which he made 59 appearances and scored four goals.

Manager Derek McInnes said: "The chance to secure a longer-term deal with Millwall is something that appealed to Martyn and his young family, and we wish him well for the future."

Woolford becomes the second departure from Ashton Gate during the January transfer window, with Brett Pitman having turned his loan spell at Bournemouth into a permanent switch last week.
