McAllister's Scotland delight

Bristol CBristol City left-back Jamie McAllister is delighted to be back in the Scotland squad after four years and is determined to stay there.

The 30-year-old won his first call-up this week since 2004 when he was included in George Burley's party for the Hampden World Cup qualifier against Norway.

McAllister told the club's website: "It's something I've been striving for and now it's happened, so it's up to me to take my chance.

"I never stopped believing I could get back into the national side. It's one step in the door and hopefully now I can do really well and establish myself.

"I knew they had been keeping tabs on me, but it's just nice that I'm now back in the squad."
