Bristol City midfielder Cole Skuse is proud to have committed his future to the club for another three years.

Skuse's name had been linked with with a move to Premier League Stoke City, but he signed a new three-year contract with the team he has supported since childhood.

"I've managed to sign a new contract," he told the Bristol Evening Post. "The club offered the deal to me just before the season ended and I've now signed it.

"It's nice to have my future secured for another three years, especially as a Bristol lad and a supporter of the club.

"I remember when I signed my first-ever professional contract there were a lot of proud people amongst my family and friends. That doesn't go away."
