Bristol City striker Lee Trundle has left Ashton Gate to join League One side Leeds on a month-long loan to get first-team football.

The 32-year-old former Swansea favourite - who has scored 130 career goals - has made just four starts for the Robins this season and will move to Elland Road until February 9.

City boss Gary Johnson explained: "We had a discussion and Lee needs to be playing regularly.

"At the moment with the weather as it is it's very difficult to get players outside of the first XI matches as they're all getting postponed.

"It's a good move for all parties. Lee gets games, Leeds get a new striker and we get a player back in a month's time a lot fitter."
