Richards could make Rovers return

Bristol Rovers could recall Elliot Richards to their starting line-up when they face Cheltenham.

The Welshman dropped to the bench for the defeat at Rochdale having taken a whack on the knee at Torquay on Boxing Day and boss John Ward has to decide whether to stick with Alefe Santos or recall Richards.

Ward could also decide to rest defender Mark McChrystal who has been thrown back into action after three months on the sidelines, with Tom Lockyer another option.

Seanan Clucas and Danny Woodards will return from injury during January but the local derby comes too soon for the pair.
