Greuther Furth have announced Tayfun Pekturk and Tobias Mikkelsen have both left the club after failing to settle in Germany.

Mikkelsen only joined from Danish champions Nordsjaelland in the summer but has failed to make an impact with the Bundesliga strugglers and has now agreed to join Norwegian side Rosenborg.

Greuther general manager Rouven Schroder admits he has been disappointed with the Danish international's impact at the club but is also sad to see him go.

"Unfortunately Tobias has been unable to breakthrough in the Bundesliga," he told Deutsche Presseagentur.

"He did not make the development and progress we had hoped he would. It was not a successful spell for him or for us."

Pekturk has been with Greuther since 2010 but has not featured in manager Michael Buskens squad recently and has opted to move to Istanbul BB in the Turkish top flight.
