Lewis Holtby insists he will give his all for Schalke for the rest of the season after sealing a "dream" switch to Spurs next summer.
The 22-year-old will move to White Hart Lane in July after agreeing a deal with the north London side to end months of speculation over his future.
The German international's English heritage meant it was always likely that he would end up in the Premier League at some stage of his career, with his English father a lifelong Everton fan.
Spurs beat off several rivals to land the midfielder, who will play out the rest of the season in the Bundesliga before moving to England, and he has made it clear that, whatever reaction he gets from the fans when the season recommences, his performance level will not drop.
"I don't know if the fans will whistle, but I will give my all for Schalke until the last day," he told Bild. "My colours are still blue and white, it's not all about money, it's about fulfilling my dreams."
