Austin revved up

Burnley could welcome back top scorer Charlie Austin for the npower Championship trip to Peterborough.

Austin has not featured for the Clarets since sustaining a hamstring injury during their 1-0 defeat to Leicester on December 29 - perhaps a fortuitous development in light of the reported transfer interest in the 23-goal striker.

Fellow hamstring victim Michael Duff is also back in training but the centre-back remains a doubt.

Boss Sean Dyche has Dean Marney at his disposal after Burnley successfully appealed the midfielder's red card during last weekend's 2-1 home loss to Birmingham.

Defender Ben Mee remains on the sidelines following a minor setback in his recovery from medial knee ligament damage.

Dyche's men lie five points shy of the play-off places in eighth having won four of their last six league matches.
