Burnley boss Owen Coyle will continue to look out for new signings prior to the closure of the transfer window on September 1.

The window has been extended by 24 hours this season due to August 31 falling on a Sunday and Coyle is happy with the extension as he looks to add to his squad.

"I believe in the old-fashioned system of signing people whenever a club decided to, but if 24 hours can make a difference then great," he told the Burnley Citizen

"It gives you another day working away at what you are trying to do.

"But the loan option will still be available after that."
