Sean Dyche will assess Ross Wallace and Marvin Bartley ahead of his first game in charge of Burnley against Wolves at Turf Moor.

Dyche was confirmed as Eddie Howe's successor on Tuesday, when he took his first training session at the Clarets' Gawthorpe training base.

Winger Wallace and midfielder Bartley have returned to the first-team group following respective hamstring and groin problems and the duo face late fitness tests.

Ben Mee will return to bolster Burnley's porous defence having served a one-match ban for collecting five yellow cards and his new manager is relishing the prospect of back-to-back home games to kick-off his reign, with Leeds next on the agenda in east Lancashire.

"I'm looking forward to every game," Dyche said. "It's helpful that they are at home.

"It's obviously a really big game against a team that have just come out of the Premier League and are expected to be right back up there again this year."
