Burnley appear to have won the £3m race to sign Hibs striker Steven Fletcher despite a last gasp gazumping effort from Wigan.
The Clarets had an offer of £3m, which could go up by a further £500,000 depending on add ons, reportedly accepted by the Edinburgh club on Monday night and the player is due at Turf Moor to discuss personal terms on Tuesday.
Wigan boss Roberto Martinez has made a last ditch effort to land one of the hottest properties in Scotland, but Burnley hope to have the deal signed and sealed with the player even talking to Wigan.
