Clarets wait over Bartley

Burnley boss Eddie Howe is hopeful of including Marvin Bartley in his squad to face Coventry.

The midfielder missed the 2-1 win over Doncaster as a precaution after he felt his hamstring tighten in the previous match.

Jay Rodriguez, who has not featured in the last five games after sustaining a hip injury, is nearing a return but this match will come too soon for the 21-goal top scorer.

It is unlikely that fellow striker Martin Paterson (hamstring) will be risked again this season, but Danny Lafferty returned from the same injury to score for the reserves in midweek and his prospects look brighter.

A run of three wins from the last four games has given Howe's men an outside chance of making the play-offs but they will need to win all their remaining games and hope for favourable results elsewhere.
