Burnley youngster Stevie Hewitt has joined Alfreton on loan until the end of the Blue Square Bet Premier season.

The 19-year-old midfielder has been a regular at reserve-team level since coming through the Clarets' youth system and made his debut against Plymouth in the Capital One Cup earlier this season.

Hewitt becomes the second young player to leave Turf Moor on transfer deadline day with striker Shay McCarten also making a temporary move to the Conference with Hyde.
