He said: "You have seen in the previous games how good they are, so I am expecting to be kept busy. But I would rather have something to do than spend most of the time watching.
"The worst thing for any keeper is having nothing to do, then something happens when you are cold. That is when you could mess it up.
"I would much rather be on my toes and I am sure I will be."
Burnley have a slight concern over Wade Elliott, who has been carrying a groin strain, while Christian Kalvenes and Remco van der Schaaf are also doubts and will be given late fitness tests ahead of the game.
Arsenal teenagers Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere and Jay Simpson, who netted two in the last round against Wigan, will all play for the Gunners.
