Stanislas remaining focused

Junior Stanislas insists Burnley are not about to become distracted by talk of the play-offs.

The Clarets moved up to 10th in the npower Championship table on Saturday after Stanislas fired a late winner to sink Crystal Palace 1-0.

Sean Dyche's side have won three of their last four matches, with the only goal conceded during that time coming in last month's 1-0 home loss to Leicester, and they lie four points shy of the top six.

"To be honest we are not really thinking about that (the play-offs)," Stanislas told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"We've played quite a lot of good football at times, we've just got to turn that into results on a regular basis. I think that sometimes it is maybe about being a bit more clinical in front of goal.

"Obviously we have stopped conceding as many as we had been, but we have probably stopped scoring as many as we did as well. Once we get that balance right we'll be moving in the right direction."
