Burnley striker Steven Fletcher will be given until the last possible moment to prove his fitness for the clash with Stoke.

Clarets boss Brian Laws is keeping his fingers crossed that the striker, who missed the defeat by Arsenal at the weekend after suffering a broken hand on international duty with Scotland, will be able to play against Stoke in what is the first of two vital home matches.

Laws will still be without both Chris McCann and Steve Caldwell for the clash as they have yet to recover from knee and groin injuries.
