Shakers snap up Tutte

Last Updated: Fri, 24 Jan 2014 11:23

Bury have bolstered their midfield options with the signing of Andrew Tutte from neighbours Rochdale.

Tutte has found first-team football difficult to come by at Spotland in recent weeks and joins the Shakers on a permanent basis.

Bury boss David Flitcroft told the club's official website: "Andrew has the profile of a player I like to work with.

"He is a brave player with an excellent passing range. He has that ability to ghost beyond defenders and that drive to create goalscoring opportunities for others, as well as the ability to score goals himself.

"He's found it difficult at Rochdale recently because of the quality of players that Keith Hill has assembled at Spotland, and the quality of players coming up through their academy system.

"Andrew has an incredible footballing quality in a possession-based system and will fit straight into our squad and is a player that I am delighted to get over the line."
