Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue is a target for Cardiff boss Malky Mackay, according to the latest reports.
It has been a frustrating summer so far for the Bluebirds boss after he missed out on number one targets Tom Ince and Victor Wanyama.
The Scot is also likely to face a fight to land Capoue, who has attracted the interest of a number of sides in recent months.
The 25 year-old has been linked with Premier League giants Tottenham, Everton, Liverpool and Arsenal, who have all expressed interest in the French international.
The player himself has admitted he wants to play in the Premier League, meaning he is almost certain to make the move this summer.
Mackay may move quickly to land the Toulouse midfielder before any of his rivals make a bid.
