Bluebirds monitoring Swedish starlet

Last Updated: Mon, 25 Nov 2013 11:03

Cardiff are monitoring the progress of AIK Stockholm winger Nabil Bahoui but face plenty of competition for his signature.

The 22-year-old has attracted a lot of attention from Premier League clubs this year, with Cardiff, Sunderland, Everton and Crystal Palace all thought to have sent scouts to watch him in action.

Bahoui only joined Stockholm at the start of 2013 but could be on the move again in January as the quartet of English teams get set to do battle for the former Sweden Under-19 international.

Palace are reportedly the favourites for his signature, with Cardiff's former head of recruitment Iain Moody suggesting to his new club they make a move for Bahoui.

The Eagles are expected to be busy in the January transfer window following the appointment of Tony Pulis as their new manager and so the Bluebirds could miss out on one of their long-term targets if they don't get their act together behind the scenes.
