Cardiff captain Mark Hudson is expecting the Bluebirds' opponents to raise their games when they face the table-toppers.

Hudson scored the winning goal as Malky Mackay's side went to of the Championship with a 2-1 win over Birmingham in midweek and he is ready for the challenges that come with being the division's team to beat.

"Everyone is going to try to beat us because we are top of the league at the moment," he told Wales Online.

"But they are also going to be fearing us because of the way we are playing which is great. We have to keep that going now.

"The players are going to relish it. You look around in that dressing room and you look at the people there.

"People are fighting for their places to start with and now we are fighting to keep ourselves at the top."
