Jones forced into transfer wait

Dave Jones admits Cardiff may have to wait until late this month before adding further new signings to the squad.

Despite the new Championship campaign getting underway this weekend, Jones is still looking to add new faces before the transfer window closes at the end of August.

It appears the Bluebirds boss is having to wait until other clubs do business before he can bring in more new signings, with Cardiff wanting at least one more addition.

Jones told Wales Online: "I still want to bring in another player, but we may have to wait until towards the end of this month.

"By then other clubs may have decided what they are doing."

The manager is not looking to offload any more of the current staff, adding: "We have kept key players here and we don't have to sell anybody. The door is closed on that."
