Cardiff boss Dave Jones will give Jay Bothroyd a late fitness test ahead of the clash with Peterborough after he picked up a dead leg.

Jones' squad has been hit with injury problems of late and he will already be without captain Mark Hudson and influential midfielders Gavin Rae and Joe Ledley so the absence of Bothroyd would be a blow.

Stephen McPhail's return at Newcastle was a massive boost to the player but whether he is fit enough for two games in a matter of days remains to be seen and Josh Magennis and Kelvin Etuhu remain out injured.
