Cardiff boss Dave Jones still harbours hopes that he will be able to strengthen his side when the loan market opens.

The loan window opens next week until the end of March and Jones, who had wanted to add to his squad in January, is looking make use of the emergency loan market."I hope when the emergency loan window opens there might be something there for us," said Jones, pictured above.

"If there is a player with a Premier League club who is fed up waiting for a chance we can look at that situation. Right now, I don't have any idea whether we will be able to move or not.

"In all honesty who is still around? The best players have gone and you end up dredging the barrel. That's what we have done for the last three years.

"All we can do is keep working hard, do everything possible to keep players fit and see where they take us."
