Cardiff's planned pre-season friendly against Real Sociedad has been called off with the Spanish side now set to play Spurs instead.
Reports in Wales say the clash, which was scheduled for the Cardiff City Stadium on the first weekend of August - a fortnight before the new Premier League season gets underway - has been called off for logistical reasons.
The Basque outfit will be based in Reading on their pre-season tour and have now opted to travel the short distance to take on Spurs at White Hart Lane rather than go to south Wales.
Bluebirds officials are said to be disappointed with the development but are hoping to name replacement opponents shortly.
