Cardiff City defender Mark Hudson believes that his side are strong enough to compete in the Premier League without new additions.
The Welsh outfit stormed to the title in the Championship last term, finishing eight points ahead of Hull City, and the 31-year-old has urged Malky Mackay to show faith in the squad that won promotion.
Hudson admits that it can be a big step up for teams who earn a place in the top flight, as demonstrated by Reading who lasted just one term before being relegated back down to the second tier.
The former Crystal Palace defender holds a lot of confidence in the players around him and insists that opening the cheque book does not necessarily guarantee safety.
Hudson said: "Yes, there will be a few players coming in I'm sure, but nothing too drastic is needed. We have a squad packed with talent and we enjoyed winning the title, it's back to business."
