Cardiff boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has allowed striker Joe Mason to rejoin Bolton for a second spell on loan.

Trotters boss boss Dougie Freedman has been keen to acquire attacking reinforcements for a side without a league win since Boxing Day and he has moved for the Cardiff forward who spent the latter part of 2013 with them.

Mason, who scored once in eight games in his first spell, has joined Bolton on a deal until April 12.
