Cardiff's top scorer Ross McCormack has backed himself to get into double figures this season after getting back on track on Tuesday.

Last season's top scorer has netted three times this season and he got a brace in the win over Bristol City playing behind the front two of Jay Bothroyd and Michael Chopra and McCormack has blasted claims that he and Chopra can not play together.

"Why can't we play together? I don't even know why there have been doubts," McCormack told Wales online.

"I never really played as a central striker until I came to Cardiff City. People were saying I wanted to leave because I wasn't happy in a wide left role, but I played there for Motherwell with no problem. Why not here?

"I am enjoying my football and, personally, my aim is to hit double figures in goals for the season."
