Cardiff striker Craig Bellamy is looking ahead to the new season but admits he is already worried about survival.
Cardiff are back in the top flight for the first time in over 50 years and, while there is much excitement, there is also a hint of realism as Bellamy knows it will be difficult.
The former Liverpool striker says he is more used to fighting for Europe rather than worrying about the drop but speaking at the launch of his book 'GoodFella' Bellamy acknowledged it was going to be difficult.
He said: "It's going to be interesting for me. It's going to be different.
"Throughout all my career I've been chasing Europe. I've never had to worry about survival.
"I've always gone into seasons thinking these are the teams we've got to beat to get into Europe or to get into the Champions League.
"This time is going to be different. I'm going in there thinking 'We can't be down there.'
"We can't be in the bottom three because we want to stay in the league for as long as we can so that the club can go from strength to strength."
