Carlisle have signed versatile QPR defender Max Ehmer on a one-month loan deal.

German-born Ehmer will remain at Brunton Park until December 1 and could come into contention for his Blues debut against Wolves on Tuesday night.

The 21-year-old has spent time on loan at Yeovil, Preston and Stevenage over the course of the last two seasons and has extensive Football League experience under his belt with a combined tally of 71 appearances for all three clubs.

He signed a contract extension at QPR in August 2012 which keeps him with Rangers until the summer of 2016.
