Carlisle striker Paddy Madden admits he still hopes he can prove himself to be a regular goalscorer at the club.

Madden, who is currently on loan with fellow League One side Yeovil, netted twice for the Glovers on Saturday - the same tally he managed in 21 appearances in Cumbria.

But the 22-year-old insists his long-term ambition remains to become a success with his parent club.

"I have enjoyed Carlisle, there are great people there and, hopefully, in the future I can get that run of games for them that I have wanted," he told the News & Star.

"I will have to prove myself [at Yeovil] first and that I can play in League One and score goals.

"I will just take each game as it comes and, hopefully, show people what I can do, play well for the team and add some goals."
