Carlisle will be without Jon-Paul McGovern against Notts County while defender Mike Edwards is hoping to retain his place against his former club.
Winger McGovern missed last weekend's win at Walsall with a recurrence of hernia trouble, which required surgery in the summer, and the club is currently waiting to learn the full extent of the problem.
Kallum Higginbotham, on loan from Huddersfield, stepped in for McGovern on the right wing at Walsall last weekend and is likely to retain his place.
Centre-half Edwards, a free summer signing after turning down a new deal at County, was preferred alongside Danny Livesey at Walsall and manager Greg Abbott must decide whether to retain that partnership or recall Peter Murphy.
Teenager Brad Potts made his fourth appearance for the Cumbrians last weekend and could continue in midfield, while Liam Noble, who stepped off the substitutes' bench to score a last-minute winner at Walsall, is pushing for recall to the starting XI as Abbott's side chase their first home win since the end of August.
