Celtic new boy Amido Balde says he hopes he isn't a replacement for Gary Hooper and wants to partner him up front next season.
The Portuguese striker completed his £2million move to Parkhead on Thursday after penning a four-year contract and is excited by the challenge of playing in Scotland.
The Bhoys' first signing of the summer joins amid speculation the SPL champions are ready to cash in on last season's top scorer, Hooper.
Both Norwich City and Hull City are keen to prise the 25-year-old away from Glasgow, with the Tigers making an unsuccessful £4million bid on Thursday.
Balde hopes Celtic are able to hang on to Hooper and expects to line up alongside the former Scunthorpe hitman next season.
"I am here because I am 22 years old to learn from Gary, to follow him and take his example," he said. "We don't have the same similarities but he is a good striker. My style is more like Emmanuel Adebayor.
"The Celtic fans can expect to see me scoring goals and setting up a few as well."
