Celtic have been boosted by the news Scott Brown, Joe Ledley, Kris Commons, Giorgios Samaras and Gary Hooper could all face Benfica.
Commons and Samaras picked up knocks during Saturday's win over Aberdeen but both were withdrawn immediately to prevent further damage and should be fit to play.
Assistant boss Johan Mjallby has also confirmed that Brown and Ledley should also be fit to play although they will know more after training this evening.
"Scott Brown and Gary Hooper are back in contention and Kris Commons and Georgios Samaras seem to be OK," said Mjallby. "Joe Ledley is back in contention and we have to wait to see how he is tonight when we train."
