West Brom left-back Paul Robinson wants to follow boss Tony Mowbray to Celtic this summer.

The Hawthorns chief has opened talks with the Bhoys after they agreed to meet his £2m compensation clause and Robinson has now urged Mowbray to take him to Parkhead.

The 30-year-old former Watford player came close to joining Celtic 12 months ago but could now get his wish.

Robinson told the Sunday Mail: "He will be a huge loss to West Brom but it's a massive bonus for Celtic. I know a few of the players are not happy we've lost him and I include myself in that.

"I'm considering my future and if the chance came to go to Celtic with the gaffer I'd be delighted to do so."

He added: "I came close to moving to Parkhead last year but it didn't happen. Maybe it will now."
