Celtic boss Neil Lennon says he still has an interest in Wolves striker Kevin Doyle and could make another attempt to sign him.

Lennon failed with his efforts to sign the Republic of Ireland international during the January transfer window but has admitted he could go back in with another bid in the summer.

The Hoops boss could need a replacement for Gary Hooper, who looks to be heading to England, and Doyle would be seen as the perfect replacement.

"I'll think about it," said Lennon. "I'm a big admirer of Kevin obviously - I tried to take him in January.

"I think he's a quality player. He is that all-round type of centre-forward that I really like. I can't talk about another club's player - I don't want to disrespect Wolves. But we wanted him."
