Celtic boss Neil Lennon failed with a bid to sign De Graafschap playmaker Anco Jansen, reports have claimed.
The player's agent Alan Love has confirmed that Celtic made a loan move for the 24-year-old with a view to a permanent switch, but De Graafschap turned it down as they wanted a bigger loan fee.
Celtic refused and the deal failed to happen, however there is a chance Lennon could try and resurrect a deal in January as Jansen is known to want out of the club.
"Celtic wanted Anco Jansen for half a year for a rental fee of 120,000 euros, and they wanted an option to buy," Love revealed.
