Winger set to choose Celtic

Celtic look as though they are going to steal the signing of Derry City winger Pat McCourt from the under the noses of West Brom.

The 24-year-old looked to be on his way to the Baggies after the two clubs agreed a fee earlier this week but it would appear that Celtic have snuck in at the death and that McCourt would prefer a move to Parkhead.

The former Northern Ireland U21 international will be in Glasgow on Thursday for talks with Celtic after initially agreeing personal terms with West Brom.

Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace had said earlier in the week that the McCourt deal was almost done, but it would now appear that his first signing will not be the Derry winger.
