Charlton striker David Mooney says he's delighted to have extended his loan at the Valley until the end of the season.

The forward is on-loan from Reading and was due to return to the Madjeski Stadium at the end of January but had his deal extended on Thursday.

Mooney has made 14 appearances for the Addicks, scoring five goals and said he was pleased to have got the situation sorted.

Mooney told the club website: "No matter how much you don't want it to, not knowing where your future lies does affect you. You really try to make sure it doesn't, but you get home and you are unsure about where you're going to be, and that is difficult."
