Charlton are showing a keen interest in Chelsea starlet Lee Sawyer who is impressing while on loan at League One Southend United.However his stay could be short lived with a number of clubs wanting to take him on loan for the second half of the season, including the Addicks who are known to be keen.
Charlton are leading the chase to land him when the transfer window opens again in January, while League One high flyers MK Dons and Leeds United are also showing a strong interest in the England under-19 international.
