Charlton are in the running to sign Warren Feeney, who looks set to leave Cardiff in search of first-team action.

The 29-year-old spent the whole of last season on loan at SPL side Dundee United and it looks unlikely he will be staying with Cardiff beyond the summer.

The Addicks are now said to be in the hunt along with Norwich and Huddersfield and Feeney admits he will have to choose wisely.

"I'm at my peak now and the next move for me will be my last big move," Feeney said. "The deal won't be about the money, it will be about the security. We are due back next week for pre-season. At the moment I'm not sure of the gaffer's plans for me, but my agent tells me of interest in Scotland and England.

"If a deal is offered from Cardiff or elsewhere and gives me the kind of security I'm looking for then that will do me. I can then concentrate on doing my utmost for whichever club it is and also try to get Northern Ireland to next year's World Cup."
