Addicks to miss wing target

CharltonCharlton look set to miss out on Blackpool winger Wes Hoolahan as Norwich are said to be closing in on a £250,000 swoop.

Hoolahan has a release clause in his contract allowing him to leave Bloomfield Road at the right price and reports claim that the Canaries have activated it with a view to wrapping up a deal.

Addicks boss Alan Pardew was thought to be interested in Hoolahan, who has broken into the Republic of Ireland set up, but it looks as though the Canaries have won the race for his signature.

Pardew is looking to add more width to his ranks this summer and unless he can hijack Norwich's bid, will have to look elsewhere.
